The weather was very unkind to both the riders and spectators for this event being both very wet and cold.
Getting the season underway was second claim member Ian Pike who for this event chose to ride his trike. Starting at number one he returned an outstanding time of 27.58. Hopefully we will see more of him this season when he makes his visits to Kent from his Lincolnshire home.
Alyson Nye was the only other rider to compete from the club probably unlucky enough to get the worse of the rain. She stuck well to her task completing the course in 37.27. A noble effort in such torrid conditions.
The club was out in force to support the riders with Keith Burden, Taj & Sue Matharoo, Gary Booth and Bob Burden all braving the elements.
