Despite the sunshine the North-Easterly wind made it a deceptively cold day on the Q10/33 (Leigh Green) course for this event.
Two riders from the club entered this event Brenda Davies and Bob Burden. Brenda time trialling for the first time in about 8 months, rode well completing the 10 miles in 35 minutes 23 seconds thus setting a new standard for the ladies.
Bob battled his way around the course but blew in the last two miles coming home in a time of 32 minutes 15 seconds which was an improvement on his efforts on New Year’s Day.
Alyson Nye was at the Headquarters to support the riders on their return – both competitors wondered why they did the event but both were glad that they did!
