New Years Day 10 Mile TT 2016

After a prolonged warm spell the weather changed dramatically for this event with the temperature dropping some 10 degrees from the previous day, added to this the wind also changed direction making the leg into the Singleton Roundabout very testing for the Riders.

Unfortunately Taj & Sue Matharoo were unable to start due to health problems and with Brenda Davies’s entry form going astray in the Christmas post it only left Bob Burden and Alyson Nye as the only club representatives in the starting line up. However both Brenda and Gary Booth braved the cold to support them in their efforts. Bob returned a 34.03 and Aly a 37.04 not the best of times but at least they both safely completed the course.

With all members meeting up at the race HQ afterwards to catch up with many friends from other clubs it was a successful first Time Trial for the club.
